Public seeding programs

OYCI is authorized to harvest seed oysters — small, medium, and large — from public seeding grounds and place them directly onto the private lease. Season runs October through May.

Polluted-bottom relocation

Mature oysters moved from condemned waters into clean lease, depurated, and brought to market.
